Nothing is quite as awesome as coming home after a long day at work expecting to be able to relax, only to back into the driveway and have your car get stuck in reverse.
As much as I love my car and the amazing sensibility of the Germans while engineering and designing most aspects of their cars, I think they overlooked some very important things (at least in the case of my car, which has a few flaws in design). For instance, the importance of one more bolt in the shift mount, so that the whole mount wouldn’t wobble inside the center console while shifting, causing one bolt to crack and the cables to get hung up.
Thank you to my amazing finace for remedying the issue, and my downstairs neighbor for helping us troubleshoot and devise a solution.
Also—slightly unrelated in this instance—fuck you, previous owners, for thinking you were so smart by adding so many damn after-market parts and causing more problems down the line. I’m sick of the ground wire for my headlights melting.

so I explained that Nicholas Cage prank someone pulled on april fools to my roommate. Because he’s rather industrious and works at a place where he has free access to a printer that prints on anything, we now have several solid PVC Nick cutouts
the plan WAS to slowly start placing them in random spots around the house when we have a big get together in a few weeks, but since that’s a ways off yet we’ve already taken to war
